My Professional Journey
For nearly twenty years, I have worked as a Gestalt therapist with individuals, couples, and groups.
My path has unfolded gradually at the intersection of the humanities and psychotherapy. Each stage has built on the last, shaping my way of seeing, listening, and working with others.
Long before becoming a therapist, I was already drawn to understanding what shapes our lives, our relationships, and our way of being in the world. It was this curiosity that first led me to the humanities.
My academic background began with Art History at the American University of Rome, followed by Philosophy at the American University in Washington, D.C. I then studied English and American Literature at the University of Paris III.
In 2000, an intensive five-year training in relational psychotherapy at the CIFPR (2000–2005) marked the beginning of my clinical education. This was followed by an in-depth programme in Gestalt Therapy at Champ-G (2005–2009). At the same time, I immersed myself in psychoanalytic thinking at the University of Paris VIII (2004–2008) and through the Paris Psychoanalytic Seminars led by Dr. Juan-David Nasio (2006–2008).
Wanting to help people affected by trauma, I later trained in EMDR at the French EMDR Institute (2009). I then completed a University Diploma in Psychopathology and EMDR at the University of Metz (2013), pursued advanced studies in the EMDR treatment of headaches, and obtained certification in Brainspotting (2018–2019).
Beyond trauma work, I later specialised in couples therapy (2017–2018) and clinical supervision at Champ-G. (2013–2014).
Over the years, my interest in the human-animal relationship has become an important part of my life. This growing interest led me to explore EMDR for animals. I am currently preparing for the ACACED certification in animal care and welfare and hope to continue developing this area of clinical practice and research in the years ahead.
I believe that learning never truly ends. Regular clinical supervision, participation in reflection groups, and ongoing professional development remain an essential part of my work as a therapist.
I am a full member of the French National Union of Psychologists and Psychotherapists (SNPPsy), EMDR France, and the French Society of Gestalt Therapy (S.F.G.). My practice follows the ethical codes of these organisations.
